Baby Shower Celebration on Janmashtami Theme at Apollo Sage Hospital
How many of you know what a Baby Shower is? I'm sure many of you do!
Recently, I went to Bhopal as my younger sister is expecting and in her final stage of pregnancy. She told me that a hospital nearby was organizing a Baby Shower and she was participating. Curious about it, I asked if I could accompany her, and she agreed.
The hospital was Apollo Sage Hospitals. When I entered, my lifelong perception of hospitals completely changed. The grand entrance, double-story wind chimes at the reception, hospital staff in beautiful and attractive attire, and the mesmerizing fragrance that filled Apollo Sage Hospital made it unlike any Indian hospital I'd ever seen.
We reached the second floor, named Sage Anandam, an entire floor dedicated to mother and child care. My curiosity peaked when I saw blue heart-shaped balloons on some doors and pink on others. I asked the staff about it, and she told me that blue represents a boy and pink represents a girl. Isn't that cool?
After visiting the Sage Anandam floor, we went to the sixth-floor (management floor) hall. The entrance was beautifully decorated with a Janmastami theme. I was mesmerized by such an innovative and festive arrangement.
My sister was overjoyed to be part of the Baby Shower at Apollo Sage Hospitals. There were over 50 couples attending the event, which began with a greeting from the Sage Anandam team. Then each couple introduced themselves and shared their short pregnancy journey. After the introduction ramp walk, Dr. Anupa Waliya Lokwani, a renowned gynecologist in Bhopal, conducted a workshop on pregnancy and pregnancy-related myths and facts.
Dr. Lokwani discussed various aspects of pregnancy, including the importance of normal delivery, prenatal and postnatal care, diet, and exercise. She emphasized the benefits of exercise during pregnancy, especially for facilitating normal delivery. She also explained different delivery options, such as normal delivery, water birth, and C-section.
After the informative workshop, there was a cake-cutting ceremony. My sister and I connected with many people there.
At last, with a bundle of gifts, the session ended on an exciting note.
As we were leaving, a decorated BMW caught our attention. The guard told us that all the babies delivered at Apollo Sage Hospitals, Bhopal, are dropped home in this luxury car. Isn't that amazing?
